Basket Weave Nails - 86/365

Hello my loves!

I was wandering around Target like I always do at least once a week and this bowl caught my eye.

When I see things that catch my eye and get me inspired to do some nail art, I like to snap a picture so I don't forget about it.

I thought the pattern would be perfect for a Spring/Easter mani! I started out by painting each of my nails a different color. My pointer finger is OPI A Roll in the Hague, my middle finger is China Glaze Sunday Funday, my ring finger is Zoya Pippa, and my pinky is Butter LONDON Primrose Hill Picnic. I then used a small nail art brush with Zoya Purity to create this basket weave type design.

Watercolor Nails - 84/365

Hello my loves!

Today I started off with a base of Zoya Purity and then I took OPI What's With The Cattitude?, Pink Friday, and You're Such A Budapest with makeup sponge pieces and sponged it on. I was going for a dyed Easter egg effect and it turned out looking like watercolor.

Are you dying Easter eggs this year? Let me know down below!

Easter Chicks - 85/365

Hello my loves!

Today's nail art is inspired by baby chicks hatching from their shells. I started out with Zoya Purity for my base and then when in with Zoya Pippa to create zig zag lines across the nail and fill the two lines in. I used Zoya Raven with a dotting tool for the eyes and then OPI A Roll in the Hague with a small nail art brush to create an orange triangle for the chicks' beaks.

What animal is your favorite Easter animal? Let me know down below!

Matchy Matchy - 83/365

Hello my loves!

Today I wanted to do something that I don't often do: match my nails to my outfit. Most of the time my nails are a complete contrast to my attire but the fun stripe print on this dress inspired me to do some matchy matchy nail art.

Do you coordinate your nails to your outfit? Let me know down below!

Zoya Purity - 82/365

Hello my loves!

I was watching Taylor Swift's video for her song 22 and I saw she was wearing white nail polish and it looked so good that I wanted to try it. Plus I needed white as a base for tomorrow's nail art so it was a win win.

Which do you prefer plain white polish or plain black polish? Let me know down below!

YSL Bronze Aztec - 80/365

Hello my loves!

YSL Bronze Aztec is a beautiful polish. I absolutely loved the formula and the brush of this polish. The brush was nice and wide and provided smooth application with little clean up necessary.

What brand of polish has your favorite brush? Let me know down below!

Chevron Nails - 79/365

Hello loves!

As I said yesterday I couldn't take Fishwife off just yet so I decided to add a chevron stripe in white to each nail.

I love chevron print. What's your favorite print for nails? Let me know down below.

Butter LONDON Fishwife - 78/365

Hello loves!

I got this polish a couple weeks ago and I honestly don't know why I didn't try it sooner. It is gorgeous. It is Butter LONDON Fishwife and this is three coats. I have been wanting the new China Glaze Hologlam Collection but I can't find anywhere that is selling the whole collection. Fishwife definitely gave me my holo nail polish fix. I will probably add onto this manicure for tomorrow because I don't want to take this beautiful polish off my fingers just yet.

Do you like holographic polishes? What ones do you own? Let me know down below!

Turquoise Nails - 77/365

Hello my loves!

So in the April issue of Cosmo I found a picture of Vanessa Hudgens with these turquoise nails. They had a tutorial on how to recreate them so I wanted to try. They recommended Essie Turquoise and Caicos so that is what I used but I wish I had used a brighter turquoise color. This color was just too muted for my taste. Then they told you to take a sandwich bag and crumple it and dip it into a bronze colored polish and then dab on the nail. I used Orly Rage for the bronze color even though that's more of a rose gold.

Have you tried to recreate a manicure out of magazine? How did it turn out? Let me know down below!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! - 76/365

Hello loves!

I hope you all had a wonderful St. Patrick's Day and drank lots of green beer! My festive nails in honor of today actually tell a story...

Once upon a time I found a four-leafed clover and a magical leprechaun appeared. He told me that at the end of the rainbow I would find a pot of gold. I found the pot of gold and lived happily ever after with my never-ending pot of gold.

What would you do with a million dollars? Let me know down below!

Don't Pinch Me - 75/365

Hello my loves!

Today to get in the mood for St. Patrick's Day I wanted to do a green manicure for St. Patty's Day but I wanted it to be subtle because I wanted my spirited manicure for the day of St. Patrick's Day. I started off with two coats of China Glaze Entourage and then I went in with Zoya Purity on my dotting tool and alternated between big dots and smalls dots on each nails.

Do you prefer subtle nail art or would you rather go all out? Let me know down below!

Diamond Jem - 74/365

Hello my loves!

I've been wanting to do the diamond design on my nails for a while now and I just needed to decide on a base color for the manicure. I spotted Zoya Jem and when I saw the name I knew I had found the perfect polish for the job. I applied two coats of Jem but with careful painting it could easily be a one coater. Then I went in with my small nail art brush and China Glaze Icicle and did the diamond design on my thumbs and ring fingers. I think this manicure turned out great.

Has the name of the polish you used ever fit the design you did on your nails? Let me know down below!

Striped Tie Dye - 73/365

Hello my loves!

My manicure today is a product of failure that turned different than what I wanted but still very good. It wasn't the effect I was going for but I altered it as I went and it turned into this great striped tie dye design. I used OPI Dating A Royal, OPI Kiss Me On My Tulips, and Zoya Purity.

Have you every done a design that didn't turn out like you pictured in your head but it still worked? Let me know down below!

Three Swipes and You're Out - 72/365

Hello loves!

Today's manicure is definitely a perfect one for Spring or Easter and it is super easy. You can find a tutorial on MissJenFabulous 's YouTube channel. I took advantage of Butter LONDON's 3 for $30 sale they had a couple of weeks ago and I just received the order yesterday. I got Jasper, Molly-Coddled, and Fishwife so I decided to use a couple of them today. I also used Fiver by Butter LONDON from their Sweetie Shop Spring 2013 collection which also includes Jasper and Molly-Coddled.

Did you know Butter LONDON has a dictionary on their website that tells you what the names of their polishes mean? What's your favorite name? Let me know down below!

OPI When Monkeys Fly over Did You Ear About Van Gogh - 71/365

Hello my loves!

Over the weekend I received The Great and Powerful Oz collection by OPI in the mail from Cutandblow.com 's sale. You should definitely check them out because each polish was only $5.50. And I believe they have OPI on there quite a bit. I really wanted to try this polish because of the waffle glitter in it. I must say that When Monkeys Fly didn't quite meet my expectations. The waffle glitter was hard to get on the nails and even harder to space evenly over the nail. I was glad to find that the glitter didn't lift off the nail that much and it really wasn't in danger of catching something and coming off. I chose to put this glitter over OPI's Did You Ear About Van Gogh? because I really wanted to spotlight the gorgeous glitter.

Have you ever been anxious to try a polish but then it didn't meet your expectations? Let me know down below!

Spring Ikat Print - 70/365

Hello loves!

Ever since I have seen the ikat print nail design I really wanted to try it but I had yet to do it until today. I think I was actually intimidated by it because I wanted my design to be as good as all the others and I was afraid mine wouldn't be up to par. I have been becoming more and more confident in my nail art ability so this weekend I did a test run of the ikat print and turned out well so I decided to do that today. For the base I used Sunday Funday from China Glaze's Avant Garden collection and then used Fade Into Hue from the same collection for the base of the ikat spots. I used Zoya Raven for the black outline and then the very middle. Zoya Purity is the white in the middle.

What color combos do you like for ikat print? Let me know down below!

Neon Leaf Vein Print - 69/365

Hello my loves!

You know I couldn't take the neon off my nails! I was in a time crunch so I decided to add to my nails some lines in kind of a leaf vein pattern. This design was super simple and I love the effect of it.

What's your favorite neon polish! Let me know down below!

China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy - 68/365

Hello loves!

After my neon manicure this past week I was dying for more neon in my life and on my nails. China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy is bright neon pink. I looked for it in my Sally's the other day but I didn't see it there but the best place I have found to buy China Glaze is Head2Toe Beauty. Their prices are great and I have ordered from them numerous times and never had a problem.

What is your favorite site to order polish from? Let me know down below!

Let's Get Geometric - 67/365

Hello loves!

I wanted to keep Midnight on my nails for just a little bit longer so I decided to add some nail art over the top. Using a small nail art brush I took China Glaze Icicle and randomly placed lines across the nails in a geometric like design. It was really easy to do and didn't take long to do.

I love when nail art is easy to do but looks intricate! What design is your favorite that's easy but looks like it took hours to do? Let me know down below!

Dolce & Gabbana Midnight - 66/365

Hello my loves!

Dolce & Gabbana Midnight is a beautiful purple with green and blue duochrome. It's easy to see in the bottle. You can even see it in the left hand side of the bottle in the picture below but on the nail all the duochrome is lost. No matter what light I was in today I could not get the duochrome to appear on my nails. It is very frustrating because of the price of this polish. For $24 the damn duochrome should show up on my nails and probably do a dance to but oh well. It still is a gorgeous color and the bottle is OMG amazeballs. I love it! I did purchase two more polishes from Dolce & Gabbana as a treat to myself when I got my tonsils taken out but I don't think they have any other polishes that I would want.

I don't mind buying expensive polish because I don't buy cheap nail polish but only when the expensive polish is unique. I can't see throwing down $24 for a red polish I have in two other less expensive brands. What is the most you would spend on a single bottle of polish? Let me know down below!

My Favorite Color is Neon - 65/365

Hello loves!

I loved yesterday's manicure so much I decided to do something very similar. I started out with Zoya Purity as a base and then I applied two pieces of striping tape down the length of my nails and then I filled in the three spaces the striping tape created with Zoya Ali, China Glaze Orange Knockout, and Orly Glowstick. I love neon so this manicure was heaven to me. I love staring at a neon nail its so mesmerizing!

These nails are getting me in the mood for summer. What are your plans for this summer? Let me know down below.

The Lines Are Blurred - 64/365

Hello loves!

Today I wanted to get back in to some nail art. After doing the swatches of the OPI Euro Centrale Collection I was ready to have some fun with my nails. I absolutely love this manicure. I loved how if I looked at my nails from the side I could see just one color with the black. This design was also super easy. I just painted all of my nails with China Glaze Dandy Lyin' Around and then added Sunday Funday on one half of the nail to all the nails. Then with a small nail art brush I went in with Zoya Raven and just feather brushed lines to cover the "seam" of the two previous polishes. It was so easy but it looks so great! I can't wait to try out this design with different colors!

Will you be trying out this design? Let me know down below!

China Glaze Keep Calm, Paint On - 63/365

Hello my loves!

I was going to try out some nail art but I ran out of time and it was a complete fail so I decided to just go with my base which is China Glaze Keep Calm, Paint On from their Spring 2013 Avant Garden collection. It is a beautiful mint green with silver shimmer in it.

Oh and in my rush I knocked over this polish bottle and it made a little mess but it reminded me of the time my husband slammed our bathroom door and the majority of my collection fell to the ground and about 20 bottles broke and I was so upset I cried and my husband felt sooo bad. It was a mess. Here's what it looked like.

Have you spilled nail polish before? Let me know down below!
